My name is Joanna Mclean, I’m 47 years old, am married and have a teenage daughter.
I’ve been an advocate of colonic irrigation after it literally changed my life. I had suffered with digestion problems for years. For as long as I can remember I tolerated that nasty bloating feeling you get when you don’t go regularly. My day to day life always had to work around how I was feeling. Evenings out were always a worry and as for going on holiday – I dreaded it. The situation really made my life miserable. Some days I felt so bloated and lethargic.
When a tragic incident left me in an even worse state I really was at my wits end.
I’d read a lot about colonic irrigation but like most people thought it rather weird and daunting, however my condition was now ruining my life and after lots of tests at various specialists over the years who continuously told me I had a healthy, if very long intestine, I decided to give colonic therapy a try.
Needless to say I never looked back. My first experience of colonic irrigation was very emotional but the results were unbelievable. Over a short course of colonics I began to feel lighter and the bloating disapeared. I felt like I had a new start in life.
It helped me to re-evaluate my diet let me literally start again, with a blank page and work out which foods suited me best.
Having regular colonics made me more aware of my body’s digestion and a clearer respect for the fantastic job our body can do when given the chance.
I’ve always been very active and trained as a gymnast in my younger years with plans of reaching National Level.
I decided to enroll in a full time course to be a personal trainer and became immersed in the fitness industry. I gained my level 3 Certificate from Premier International and also studied nutrition and various other specialised fitness modules such as pre and post pregnancy fitness.
I’ve always been a big fan of boxing and have trained at a Pro gym for quite some time. I’ve been involved professionally with a couple of high profile boxers, I helped Dereck Chisora with his nutrition plan when he fought David Haye (yes he lost but that wasn’t because of his diet !!!!)
The natural career progression for me seemed to err toward a combination of nutritional advice and colonic therapy as I feel it so beneficial in many ways. I qualified from the British School Of Colon Hydrotherapy. I am a member of I-ACT , the International body for regulation of colonic therapists.
I felt that Id finally found my calling!!!! Its an absolutely amazing feeling to know I can help improve a person’s quality of life.
When you talk to people and listen to how their lives are affected by the problems caused by today’s diets, stress and other factors it really empowers me to know I can help.
I AIM TO ‘PUT THE COOL INTO COLONICS’
